ProDroneWorx were at Digital Construction Week with Kier Construction Ltd. and Kier Group in October promoting our digital/reality capture services to the construction, infrastructure and asset inspection markets. Here's a video about us which was produced by Peter Haddock and the team at Edson Evers.
Here’s a great example of a large project where one of the digital/reality capture outputs from drone technology i.e. orthomosaic, has been overlaid with the architects design model. This combination of digital datasets can be used as follows: 1. an architect can use them in the project design phase to understand and plan the orientation of buildings, road, footpaths, services, etc. 2. for a planning application it gives planners unique insights into the site and its surround
ProDroneWorx were featured in UK Construction Online discussing how the digital information from drone technology can be used for inventory management. This is what our client said "What used to take weeks can now take just a few days while the digital information has benefited us enormously through better collaboration and communication." ProDroneWorx drone inventory management process has been designed to automate inventories with very little human intervention. As a result
ProDroneWorx recently carried out an asset inspection of a tall flare tower using drone technology and produced a 3D model of the asset - check out the fly-through video below. This visualisation solution allows our client to understand more detail about their assets and uses contextual data to improve decision-making. These 3D models and the underlying point cloud data can be used to take measurements, plan future modifications and it can also be brought into virtual reality
