2D and 3D models produced on London drone survey building facade
ProDroneWorx carried out a drone survey on a building facade in central London producing a survey grade accurate 3D point cloud, 3D textured model and 2D orthomosaic. These digital outputs from the drone inspection can be used to create a CAD or REVIT model, take measurements, identify and log defects etc. The 2D/3D outputs can be produced in AutoCAD, BIM or GIS file friendly formats. The digital data from the drone survey was captured in less than a day with the digital outp

Drone survey of building facades in London
ProDroneWorx completed a drone survey on behalf of our client of the front and rear facades plus roof area of a large historic building in central London within a restricted flight area. We obtained all the necessary flight permissions from NATS, Diplomatic Protection Group and the Met Police to carry out the survey legally. The building was in an area that was very difficult and complex to access using traditional inspection techniques i.e. scaffolding or cherry picker. The

Aerial LiDAR used to survey a large heavily vegetated area for planning and design purposes
The 25cm grid level DSM and DTM was used for planning and design purposes. Aerial LiDAR can collect over 700,000 points per second with an average surface density of >700 points per square meter. We used aerial LiDAR to survey a heavily vegetated area of long grass, brambles and trees to understand ground levels and the terrain. The large area was inaccessible using traditional surveying methods and very unsafe. Sometimes it’s not possible to navigate around a large area due
