Drone topographical survey of land
Out on site and just getting setup to carryout a drone topographical survey of a large piece of land. We’re using a number of ground control points (GCPs) to ensure high accuracy levels of approx. 3cm.
A drone topographical survey can produce a lot of very useful information for this type of work e.g. point cloud, contours, digital surface model, volumes, etc.
The drone topographical survey point cloud can be produced in a number of different file formats e.g. dxf, las, xyz, e57 etc. and can be brought into CAD/BIM software for analysis/drawing.
With a drone topographical survey you also get a high resolution orthophoto that is georeferenced and can be overlaid onto the finished surface model. More details/images from this drone topographical surveyto follow once the data is processed.
