ProDroneWorx were engaged to carry out a conditional survey of an asset in central London very close to main roads, footpaths and other buildings. The information was required for a schedule of conditions.
Our special OSC (Operational Safety Case) license from the CAA allows us to carry out complex drone inspection or drone survey operations in heavily congested (urban) areas like London, Birmingham, Manchester etc.
Access to this asset with a cherry picker wasn’t possible and the cost of scaffolding was astronomical. Drone technology was the perfect tool for this job as it was safe, quick, economical and there was no business disruption.
Our digital data was used by the chartered building surveyor to write up their conditional report. We can assist building/asset surveyors with their pre-acquisition surveys, due diligence surveys, planned maintenance programs, dilapidation surveys or schedule of conditions using drone technology and analysis software for storing, sharing, managing and analysing the data.
We had permission from NATS, met police and the diplomatic protection group (DPG) to carry out this building inspection or survey.
Drone technology is an ideal tool for roof inspections, bridge inspections, solar farm inspections (using thermal imaging), facade inspections, building inspections, industrial unit inspections, etc.
