Drone survey of building facades in London

ProDroneWorx completed a drone survey on behalf of our client of the front and rear facades plus roof area of a large historic building in central London within a restricted flight area.

We obtained all the necessary flight permissions from NATS, Diplomatic Protection Group and the Met Police to carry out the survey legally. The building was in an area that was very difficult and complex to access using traditional inspection techniques i.e. scaffolding or cherry picker. The survey was completed in less than a day with no inconvenience to the building tenants or neighbours.

The digital data we provided to Helme will be used as a record of the condition of the building for any future works and maintenance. The survey was carried out with physical distancing in place and the building surveyor was able to analyse the HD images using our cloud based platform.

The cloud based platform is used for storing, sharing, managing and analysing the data. Annotations can be included if issues or defects are identified, they can also be given a severity level. A report (PDF/Excel) can be produce from this and shared with contractors for pricing.
